SMUG Album Release Party [11.16.18]
It was a glorious night for SMUG, Buffalo's powder keg of power-pop-punk, as they celebrated the release of their debut full-length album at Nietzsche's on November 16th. Their first release for Admirable Traits Records, "gorgeous" captures what makes SMUG such a compelling and undeniably fun band: high-octane energy, heroic guitar solos, three-part gang vocals, and hooks for days; making it the perfect soundtrack to destroying your eardrums (or liver). The spirit and diversity of rock was kept alive that night with supporting sets by Kill The Clock (impassioned pop-punk), Cooler (heartfelt indie-emo), and Rochester's Buffalo Sex Change (minimalist garage rock). SMUG's Album Release Party was presented by Yace Booking in Buffalo, NY.
